Summer Retreat Overview Schedule
"Our precious Lama Tharchin Rinpoche established a one month Summer Retreat starting in 1989, calling it our “sangha dharma party”, and we have continued it without interruption to this day. Every year we do practices of the Three Roots deities and conclude with Drubchen (Great Accomplishment). These practices help to counteract negative circumstances for each practitioner, as well as those negative circumstances which cause so much hardship for the whole world, including disease, famine, war, conflict, and especially epidemic diseases like we are experiencing now."[Lama Sonam Rinpoche]
Dudjom Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche is postponing his visit to bestow the Dudjom Lingpa empowerments and lead the Dorje Drolo Drupchen that were scheduled for this summer at Pema Osel Ling. We will let you know as soon as he reschedules.

Our Annual Summer Retreat started on May 29, 2020, the seventh day of Saga Dawa, Buddha’s Birthday. We began by practicing Tsokye Tuktik (The Heart-Essence of the Lake-Born Vajra), doing a practice called Tseyang Khabtruk, a uniquely uplifting combination of long-life and wealth-gathering practices that has never been done before in the west.
H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche is Guru Rinpoche’s regent in our time; it is from the profound expanse of his wisdom mind that the Tsokye Tuktik cycle of practices was revealed. Tsokye Tuktik has the most extraordinary blessings of all Ladrup (Lama accomplishment) practices. The warm breath of the dakinis has not faded from it; there has been no chance for damaged samaya to interfere with it; it has extremely fresh wisdom blessings, and the flow of the river of its lineage blessings is uninterrupted.
The Tsokye Tuktik cycle contains outer, inner, secret, and innermost secret accomplishment practices of the Lama, Guru Rinpoche. The secret accomplishment practice of Tsokye Tuktik is a longevity practice with Guru Rinpoche in union with Mandarava, and we will practice it with the inner accomplishment practice, Orgyen Khandro Norlha, Guru Rinpoche in the form of a wealth deity.
