On Friday, August 8th, in collaboration with the Lama Tharchin Rinpoche Heritage Foundation and the Drangsong Foundation, Anam Thubten Rinpoche will offer a special root text oral transmission of the Do Gyud Dzod (The Complete Nyingma Tradition from Sutra to Tantra). Lama Tharchin Rinpoche was responsible for organizing the translation of this exceptional set of teachings, and so it is a fitting commemoration of the first twelve-year lunar cycle of Rinpoche's parinirvana. Rinpoche's Dechö and practice of Dorsem Lama Chöpa are August 9th. Find out more here.
The Do Gyud Dzod text was compiled by Choying Tobden Dorje, a 19th-century Buddhist yogi-scholar from Repkong who created a comprehensive view of the Buddhist path according to the early translation school of Tibetan Buddhism, from the foundational steps to the highest esoteric teachings of the Great Perfection. The reading transmission must be received in real-time in person or online.
We will continue with lunch at the shrine meadow, and conclude with a special practice and tsok offering from the Red Saraswati Sādhana revealed by Repkong Terton Örgyen Chokyi Gocha, from 2 - 5 pm.
