Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche |
VajrakilayaPutri Rekphung |
We invite you to join us at Pema Osel Ling for our annual Losar Retreat.
This Year, in addition to our traditional wrathful Vajrakilaya Gutor practice, we will be accumulating 100,000 supplications to the wisdom protector Nojin Shenpa Marnak. Please see Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche's recent letter to our sangha about the importance of the Shenpa prayers and his prayer that our aspirations are accomplished through this practice that Lama Tharchin Rinpoche began many years ago to benefit all beings and in particular, for the dharma activity of the West, including Pema Osel Ling.
Empowement: Putri Rekphung Vajrakilaya
Vajrakilaya is a powerful purification ritual traditionally done in the final days of the outgoing Tibetan year to cleanse and pacify all accumulated negativities, defilements and obstacles, in order that we start the New Year of the Fire Bird afresh. We will do His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche's Putri Rekphung - The Razor that Destroys at a Touch Vajrakilaya practice, beginning with a Putri Rekphung Vajrakilaya Empowerment given by Tulku Thadral Rinpoche on February 13th. Lama Sonam Rinpoche has this to say regarding this important practice in the Dudjom Tersar:
We will also be led in practice by Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche, Tulku Jamyang Rinpoche, Lama Gyaltsen Rinpoche, and Lama Sonam Rinpoche. The practice culminates in the Gutor ritual, this year on Saturday, February 25th, where the wrathful torma is cast out, paving the way for a New Year, where “all positive circumstances increase like the waxing moon. Relative circumstances such as longevity, merit, glories, joy and family lineage are increased. And on the path, meditation qualities, experience, wisdom and fruition of practice are accomplished.” -Lama Tharchin Rinpoche
Please join us for as much of this practice retreat as your schedule allows. All levels of attendance and participation are highly encouraged.
