We have the great fortune to offer a very rare opportunity for serious students of Dzogchen. Tulku Thadral Rinpoche will give the Oral Transmission for Longchenpa's Precious Treasury of the Genuine Meaning  (Tsik don rinpoche dzod) over three afternoons, June 2, 3 and 4. The Oral Transmission is included as part of our Summer Retreat, for anyone interested in taking teachings and practicing Wrathful Black Hayagriva. Alternately, you may register and come just for the three afternoon sessions to receive the Oral Transmission.

 

Lama Sonam Rinpoche tells us:

"The author of the Tsik don dzod, Longchenpa, is the same as the Buddha and Vimalamitra. He was truly omniscient and a scholar; that is why his teachings, especially the Seven Treasuries, are equal to those of Guru Rinpoche. These Treasuries are very special, for each has different qualities. Together they encompass the 84,000 supreme qualities of the Buddha's teachings, as well as the 64,000 tantric teachings, including the 17 tantras' essence. Not one word is left out of his special language; it is all included. That is why it is called Tsik don dzod  (Treasury of Genuine Meaning). If someone knows the Tsik don dzod, that means they know all the language of the tantras. Even ordinary language, according to that, has wisdom.

 

People can achieve liberation just by hearing and reading these teachings. Therefore, through the kindness of Tulku Thadral Rinpoche, we are offering this Oral Transmission. Tulku Thadral Rinpoche was a disciple of H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche, and is highly educated and a great practitioner. Living now in Nepal and India, he is one of the main Dudjom lineage holders.
